Hola Chicas,
Gosh it seems like forever since I have jumped on my blogspot! Life has been pretty hectic on my side of the screen. I haven't even had time to sit down and do a craftathon. I used to do those every single day! I keep thinking the next week will bring me some quite time, and than bam, I get slammed at work again.
To keep some kind of sanity, I have been making time to exercise 30 minutes a day with a goal of 5 times a week. The past two weeks I have been doing 7 days a week. Who would have known that I would make this a priority? Anyway, it feels damn good. I loaded up my ipod with some good Audio books and it really helps. I find myself walking farther and sometimes I am almost at 45-50 minutes of walking. Yay. Even in the fog, I am out there hoping that jack the ripper doesn't pop out and give me the surprise. I swear, my mind can play mean tricks on me when I feel so alone in a park clouded with whiteness.
Another commitment I made, is I joined Suzi Blues "Divine" class. We will be art journaling, making a few assemblages and just reveling in our Goddessness. I loved her Petite Doll class, and am really looking forward to this class. You can view more info. on my side bar. (link to her website, she really is amazing)
On top of Christmas party commitments, (there are so many this year) Tomorrow is a big day for me and my business partner Sharon. Every year we do two big bus trips. In April we take 100 clients to Reno for a party fest, and every December we take 50 women to San Francisco for a day of Champagne, pampering, shopping, eating and a serious Scavanger Hunt. We organize a private show with Nordstroms, and we also hustle goodies from Macy's and Bloomingdales. Every Chica will get a Swag bag full of goodies, samples, surprises. On the way to SF. (about an hour and a half from Sacramento) We will be feeding our hungry lil shoppers with breakfast, Mimosas and Baily's and Cafecito) Sharon always creates a great shopping bingo game, and this year, we will have close to 25 awesome gifts to raffle off. That means these women will have a 50/50 chance of winning a great gift.
I also put together a challenging scavenger hunt, that brings out the competitiveness in some of these polite and unassuming women. I mean these girls get serious! Every year (we have been doing this trip for about 6 years now) I have to shake things up a bit and make it even more challenging than the previous year. After our trip, I'll post pictures and the list.
Union Square in San Francisco is so beautiful this time of year. Every street and the park is decorated. I think tomorrow will be an awesome opportunity to practice some of my RAK's.
Stay tuned!
Oh, by the way,
I just listed a few pieces of art on my etsy. check them out when you get a chance.
